What are your hours of operation and age groups?

 

Our hours of operation are Monday- Friday 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. In some cases We are very flexible.    UCCC provides day care for ages 6 weeks to 12 years.

 

Can I as a parent, know ahead of time what the meal menus are?

 

Yes you can.  Our meal menus are published and displayed on each parent information board and also available online.

 

I know meals are provided, but can I pack a lunch?

 

Feel free to pack your child(s) lunch.

 

Are you equipped to handle children with special health concerns?

 

This is a question that comes up quite often.  Special health concerns covers a lot of ground.  As a owner evaluate each child on a case by case basis.  After a consultation with the parent about the nature of the health issue and any special treatment required, a decision will be rendered.

 

Are you as owner physically at the facility or is it managed and run by other personnel?

 

I, Joy Mangum am the owner and operator of Unique Creation Childcare.  I am also on site at all times, and I am the primary care provider. All children are under my direct supervision.

 

Are you certified by the State of North Carolina?

 

Yes we are. Please refer to our “About UCCC” page for additional recognitions and accreditations.

 

How early can my child be dropped off at your family childcare house.

 

A Child can be dropped off as early as 6:00 AM.

How often is there outside play time for the younger children?

 

As often as possible.  Weather permitting, we make every attempt to schedule outside play or activity on a daily basis.  

 

Do you charge additional fees for late pick up?

 

Yes we do.  A $1.00 per minute late fee will be charged for every minute after 6:00 pm and must be paid when you pick up your child.  It is very important that you pick up your child on time.  Please call me ASAP if you feel you will be late.

 

Can parents visit the Center?

 

Yes! We offer a service where you can see and view your children through out the day for a $100 extra tuition a month.  Parents are freely welcome at any time to visit the Center and observe their child.  Parent participation is encouraged.

 

What is the cut off time for the delivery of my child to your Center?

 

Children will be accepted no later than 10:00 AM, unless their was a prearranged doctors appointment.  Staffing ratio’s are set for the day by this time

 

What if you are full, can my child be put on a waiting list?

 

Yes!  To place your child on our waiting list, you will need to talk with the administrator and request placement.  You will be called in waiting list order.  If you like you can pay the registration fee of $75.

What payment options do you have?   Do you accept major debit and credit cards?

Unique Creations Childcare presently accepts checks, money orders, and cash as payment for services rendered.

It is anticipated that in the immediate future our clients will also be able to pay using all major debit or credit card in person or online.  Please call for starting date.

Tuition and Fees

In order to keep quality childcare tuition must be paid on time.  Childcare fees are due on Mondays and late by Friday.  A late fee of $5.00 a day will be added on your tuition.  Tuition is not prorated for any absences and no tuition will be carried over for more than 5 days.

Yes we do accept drop-ins.  We do however require that you call ahead of time  as early as possible.  Unique Creations reserves the right to refuse any child  based on maximum capacity limitations being reached and the health condition of the child. Because of my  work schedule, I will not know ahead of time about childcare, do you accept per diem drop off of children?

In order to enroll your child or children, an application must be filled out and submitted.  After the application is received, an appointment is made for a consultation with the parent or guardian.  At the conclusion of the interview there will be a decision rendered.
