As a professional family childcare provider, I am committed to providing high care in a loving home environment.  I believe that all children are special and unique.  A home setting offers children the opportunity to learn and grow with siblings and children of different ages and backgrounds in a supportive, family-like atmosphere.  It is my goal to provide children a safe environment that nurtures self-esteem, security and a higher learning experience.

Above all, I do my best to have the children gain and keep a positive self-image.  Also have the child ready for kindergarten. It is important that you and I communicate openly and honestly with each other about your child.

I am always open to new ideas and suggestions.  My main concern and goal is to see each child grow physically, intellectually, socially and emotionally to the best of his/her ability.  Parents are welcomed and are encouraged in participating in anyway they can.

I am a native of  Fuquay-Varina, a wife and a mother of two beautiful girls.

I dedicated my life to God at the age of eighteen and I am actively working in the church as the youth choir director and toddlers Sunday School Teacher.

In life's journey, God has given me the vision and gift to operate my own in Home Day Care which I am very excited and blessed for His favor.  

Working and caring for children is my passion and it will continue for many years to come.  I look forward to working with you and your child.

I VOW to do my best along with your help as a parent, to give your child quality and loving care.  

My child was 12 months old when we considered putting her in daycare.  I was at home with her for 8 months and her grandmother kept her for another 4 months.  Knowing that the transition for her would be hard, we were concerned that she may not get the attention that we felt she needed.

 UCC put our fears to rest.  They addressed our fears and concerns and were extremely patient with us and our child.

They were able to give our child the care and attention that we felt she needed.  And, we were secure in knowing that if our child was crying or upset, somebody was there to hold and comfort her until she was alright.  

Our child is now 2 years old and looks forward to going to daycare everyday.  She talks about all of her friends and is learning so much.  UCC is a blessing from God.  Thanks UCC for loving our child.

The Director, Joy Mangum has five years experience working as a lead teacher operating in a family Child Care Home.  Joy is from Fuquay Varina.  She is married, has one daughter and is living in wake county.  

Joy is working on her Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education.  Mrs. Mangum has a unique knowledge of how a classroom should work as well as the skills to run a major operation.
